Documentation of the commodiy.xml commodity definitions.
commodity.xml defines the in-game commodities. A commodity is a type of cargo that the player can transport on his ship. Some commodities can be bought and sold at planets while others only appear in the context of a mission.
Note: at the moment the economy is little more than a placeholder. A proposal concerning a more complex economic system can be found in a proposal sent to the Naev mailing list (Google account required).
The following XML snippet demonstrates all the tags that make up commodity.xml.

This is the only tag each commodity definition really needs to be functional. The 'name' value is the name as it will appear in the game.
This is the text associated with the commodity. This tag is only needed for tradeable commodities.
This is the price for the commodity. This tag is only needed for tradeable commodities.
