Sound Effects
The way missiles work in Naev has changed. Using missiles now involves getting a lock on your target first, before you can fire the missiles.

This system creates the need for audiovisual cues to help the player.
NEEDED SOUNDS
- When targeting:
- A sort signal indicating the lock has been established. Something like this:
- Various engine sounds. Different engines should sound differently.
- (Possibly) alternative hyperspace sounds. Hyperspace sounds consist of five phases: engine chargeup, engine powerdown, constant engine hum, jump in, jump out. See snd/sounds/hyperspace_powerup.ogg, snd/sounds/hyperspace_powerdown.ogg, snd/sounds/hyperspace_engine.ogg, snd/sounds/hyperspace_powerupjump.ogg, snd/sounds/hyperspace_jump.ogg.
- Activate missile jammer sound.
- Install outfit sound.
- Uninstall outfit sound.
Miscellaneous
- UI button click sound
- Weapon and explosion sounds: pew pew whoosh crash boom bam bling.
- Sounds for turning activated outfits on and off.
Music
Nothing specific at the moment, but more is always better.
